Rock On To Your Greater Future October’s Principle:
Once again autumn brings with it the promise of new beginnings and hints of the harvest to come. More and more women across the country are asking me “What do I need to know being an older woman?” Men too are contemplating their changing role as they age. Both are asking, “Who am I if I’m no longer young?” I realized the time has come for me to share what I know and have learned about aging consciously. In the coming months I hope to initiate a continuing dialogue with you that will address my view as a futurist and gerontologist in the emerging field of Conscious Aging. Growing up, every Friday night was a command performance for our family of six. My Mother lit the Sabbath candles and recited the appropriate ancient prayer. We’d break Challah bread and pass it around to signify our appreciation for what we had and the blessing of another week passing. More…
I recently attended Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium to my surprise I was wholeheartedly thrilled that this grassroots offspring of the Pachamama Alliance is gaining traction across the globe. As a professional futurist the content is not new news, but the intent and context created are, and spot on. For me these gatherings of local like-minded folks are the start of something big!
