I have spent years working in the broadcast industry and have seldom been moved by a guest. Karen has been one of the few. She speaks to topics which are timely and timeless. She is extremely effective as a speaker. Her on-air delivery is compelling. She is passionate, articulate, funny, intelligent, and accessible. I would highly recommend Karen as a contributor for regular or guest spots or anyone interested in producing a successful radio program.

What do we all have in common? An uncertain future.
At different points of our lives, we all wonder, What’s next? What’s next for you and your audience? What’s next for our communities, our country, our world? Is it possible to create a future that is both successful and meaningful—for ourselves, our families, our planet, our universe?
That’s exactly what Karen Sands, founder of Future Works Institute, talks about with audiences nationwide—what their future holds and how to capitalize on that future in ways that unleash their potential to be truly great.
In these difficult times, don’t we all need a glimpse of a greater tomorrow?
As a Professional Futurist, Karen Sands has accurately forecast high-impact trends over the past decades, such as the effects of the Graying of America (and the Graying of Business in particular). Nicknamed the Velvet Whip when she was developing her futurist skills in the corporate world, Karen led the call for private retirement planning for high net-worth clients and firms and trained, educated, and led thousands in new ways of doing business.
Her methods as an “intrapreneur” brought meaning and collaboration as well as profit to the people she worked with. She started the Future Works Institute precisely to have a greater impact on the future of individuals who could themselves have a greater impact on the world.
With science, strategy, and intuition, Karen Sands not only tells you what our future holds, she teaches you how to see and create your own future—one that matters.
As one of only 600 Master Certified Coaches worldwide, Karen has spent three decades awakening people to a new experience of themselves and giving them measurable tools for transforming their work, their home, and their world. A contemporary thinker with Renaissance sensibilities, she is dedicated to the evolution of human consciousness and culture.
Karen is a life coach, a retirement coach, an executive coach, and most of all, a Coach for the Future.
Together, Karen Sands and her clients co-create positive futures and strive to meet the “Greatness Challenge” of the era by focusing on the triple bottom line: People, Planet & Profits.
Her clients are those who want not only success but true fulfillment, hoping to offer enlightened leadership and breakthrough results that better their lives and reinvent their world.
Knowing your futures holds greatness is meaningless if you don’t know how to act on it. That’s where Karen comes in.
Karen has a strong foundation in the business world. She has been an innovative educator, an enterprising non-profit and for-profit entrepreneur as well as a highly successful start-up and turn-around visionary line executive in the financial services industry.
Throughout her corporate career, she was the forerunner in leading customer-driven businesses committed to continuous improvement, participative management, empowerment and collaborative alliances across functional lines and supplier networks.
She is as comfortable leading a start-up or turn-around company as she is fostering paradigm shifts in her clients’ lives and workplaces.
Whether leaving offices to build new businesses, trading in briefcases for diaper bags, exchanging laundry for corporate ladders or a long-time job for unemployment lines, the people who come to Karen Sands have one thing in common—the potential to be truly great and successful doing what they love.
