Rock On To Your Greater Future
As I crisscross the country I hear uncertainty, angst, loss, and anxiety. Yes these are crazy-making times. Hold on! I also hear about the promise of possibility and hope for the future. I’ve just returned from the World Future Society’s annual Conference in Boston. We professional futurists convened to share the latest on “Sustainable Futures, Strategies, and Technologies.” Before I can share it with you in readable form, I have to decipher and process a mountain of information. Additionally I’ll also report to you on another bell weather conference taking place this month which explores the apocalyptic predictions about 2012 and their possible impact on our future. I will be emailing a follow up special report so you can get my take on what emerged. What I can tell you now is that these two conferences will offer very different perspectives on our near and far off future. Material that I pushed underground is rising to the surface with a new momentum. I’m working feverishly on completing my new book and a brand new website, along with new offerings. You’ll be the first to know when I launch the new website and have my book for sale. In the meantime, hang in there and let go at the same time. No matter what happens don’t take any of this personally. Remember, this is an epochal shift. I know these are hard and frightening at times. Trust that this is the time for a big reframe. So take a “rethink time-out” every chance you can. But don’t do it solo. These shifts are too big to go it alone. Have a great rest of summer.
Short and sweet. Go play, read a good book, make love, and laugh tons. Most of all don’t take what happens personally. But do take it seriously. Safeguard your hope; pray often and up the ante on your consciousness. Spend some time just being with your Self. Let your creativity ripen so you can find the solutions you seek. Happy rest of the summer!
Grab something to write with and go where you can be by yourself and unwind. Take some time to self-reflect on these questions. When you look forward to mid-Summer 2010, are you able to say that you used this season to your advantage? What are you doing to make your future rock? What big shifts are you considering or making happen? Are you in freeze-frame mode unable to reverse or move forward? Please share your responses. (Remember I’ll not share your personal info.)
I’d love to continue a conversation with you addressing important issues like the big shifts that we are all facing; your input on what is relevant and timely matters. If you’d like to engage in this dialogue please email me with topics or questions you’d like addressed and/or your own experiences and views. I promise anonymity. Last but not least, I’d love your feedback on a new blog format I’m toying with based on my 52 principles. To encourage dialogue you can post your own take anonymously. The more voices the better. Interested? Please let me know.
